At the end of 2022, the Israeli national team took part in two international tournaments, in Belgium and Scotland. The Israeli team won first place in both tournaments, after defeating Germany and Ireland in the finals. In 2025, the Israeli national team took part in more international tournaments such as in June they played in the Nations League Tournament in Belguim and came in first place against Koscovo, Belguim, and Scotland. In October 2025, they played in the Nations League tournament in Ajerbaijan taking a close second to Ukraine, after not loosing a game or giving up even one goal.
In all tournaments, the Israeli team, the youngest team in the competition, beat stronger and more experienced teams such as Belgium, Scotland, Albania, Ireland, and Germany.
In June 2024, Israel competed in the European Championship (Euro) in France. This was the second consecutive time the team qualified for this prestigious tournament, finishing in 13th place. As of today, the Israeli team ranks 13th out of 20 nations in the European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF). Additionally, Israel is a member of the official global amputee football federation, recognized by FIFA – WAFF (World Amputee Football Federation).
Visiting hospitals and recruiting players starting on the seventh of October 2023
Hospital Visits & Player Recruitment Since the 7th of October 2023
visiting hospitals
Immediately after the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, team players began visiting hospitals to meet the many wounded, including dozens of amputees. The Israel Amputee Soccer players accompany the newly injured, demonstrating that life goes on and, more importantly, that anything is possible.
During these visits, hospital patients are introduced to the Israeli Amputee Soccer Team. Many of the war-wounded were deeply moved upon learning about the project and set themselves a goal: to recover successfully and join the team after rehabilitation. Some have even begun participating in team activities during their recovery process, subject to medical guidance and approval. This approach is aimed at accelerating rehabilitation outcomes and fostering a positive mindset throughout the recovery journey.
