We Welcome Any Amputee To The Sport

As part of the European Championship in Paris, Israel’s Amputee National Team faced Greece today (Friday) and secured a 2-1 victory, thanks to a brace by Avian Ohana, who now has three goals in the tournament, just one behind Ben Maman, who leads Israel’s scoring with four goals. This marks the team’s first win after three losses and a draw.

After the victory, we spoke with Tzach Shichrur, captain of Israel’s national team:
“The hospitality has been very respectful. We are in one of the most beautiful towns in France, at the foot of the Alps, and the weather is very pleasant. We are surrounded by both local security and security personnel from Israel, arranged by Maccabi Haifa’s president, Yaakov Shachar. Due to the incident with Turkey, fans were not allowed into the stadium today, so the match and its surroundings remained incident-free.”
